This is the sort of syncing issue I would have expected in 2010, not 2020, but the app itself is exactly what I've been looking for in order to write my thesis, so I'll have to overlook this for now. I'd like to think that if you leave enough time between sessions (hours, days?) that it would sync on its own, but I haven't been using iA Writer long enough to know. When you're done with iA Writer on macOS, open the Finder window (or maybe it will work by just activating the window from before?) to force another sync, assuming your next iA Writer session might be on the iOS app. (Or if you include iCloud in your Finder favourites list, then any newly opened Finder window seems to work). iA Writer As much as I love Apple's Pages for crafting documents on E' all my. I seem to have learned something else: the iOS and macOS iA Writer apps seem to operate on the assumption that the user does not have the app open on both devices at the same time.
